Whirlpool WDT750SAHZ Dishwasher Review
Whirlpool WDT750SAHZ Design
Exterior
First of all, the Dishwasher WDT750SAHZ is actually a top control dishwasher which means the controls are hidden at the top of the door. This is an ingenious solution if you have children. It often happens that children play near the dishwasher and accidentally start the machine or change the programmed washing cycle.
Secondly, the exterior of the Whirlpool Dishwasher WDT750SAHZ is as we expected, it is made from stainless steel which is also fingerprint-resistant. In front of the dishwasher, you are not doing to miss the nice and elegant bar handle that gives a beautiful, simple, and clean design. Beside the bar handle, you will notice the Whirlpool logo down in the middle of the door.
The Control Panel
As we said the control panel is hidden on the top which is a positive thing and you don’t need to worry if you have kids playing around the dishwasher and accidentally touching the control panel.
The downside of the dishwashers with hidden control is if you need to check the remaining time of the washing process you need to open the door which you will stop the operation. We think that is not a big deal, you just need to close the door and the washing process will resume.
But for that reason in this model, there is a Cycle Sensor Indicator on the top right corner of the bar handle and gives you a notification by glowing that your dishwasher is still running.
So, when you open the door and take a look at the control panel you will notice instead of buttons there are tap touch controls for easier operating with the dishwasher.
- On the left side of the control panel are the washing cycles and you like Sensor, Heavy, Normal, 1-Hour, and Soak and Clean cycle.
- On the right side, there are the washing options like 1-24 Hour Delay, Hi-Temp Wash, Heat Dry, Sani Rinse, Control Lock, and Extended Dry. Next to them are controls for Start and Cancel/Drain.
In the middle, there is a digital display where you will get all info for the washing cycle and option running at the moment.
Interior
The Bottom Rack
As usual on the bottom rack, you have a lot of space for your dirty dishes, as we know already the silverware basket is hanged on the door and it frees up more space, which in most models the cutlery basket is placed on the bottom rack.
Also, when you do loading on the bottom rack you need to make sure your dishes have safety distance from the second spray arm, which is right below the second rack.
The bottom rack in this model is a little bit shorter than the bottom rack in other models of dishwashers.
The Silverware Basket
When you open the dishwasher the first thing your eyes will catch is the Silverware Basket that is hanged on the door from inside. This is a different solution for the Silverware Basket where suppose to be during the washing process. For most of the dishwashers from the other brands, the Silverware Basket is located inside in the lower rack.
But this is not the only dishwasher with this solution; also some dishwashers from the other brands are using this idea for the ideal location of the Silverware Basket. This doesn’t mean that the silverware basket always should be hanged on the door. If you don’t have a lot of dishes for washing, you can place the silverware basket inside on the bottom rack.
Many owners of this model and as well owners of the other brands are complaining about the location on the door for the Silverware Basket because in many cases it prevents the soap dispenser from opening.
The Silverware Basket has little compartments so you can open separately to place larger items such as a spatula, pizza cutter, or small ladles.
But the size of some holes on top in front of the Silverware Basket, don’t allow you to fit inside some silverware like forks and spoons with normal size, but for teaspoons and dessert forks, it’s fine.
We think this is really a handicap in case you need to wash a lot of silverware at once; it will be a little bit annoying for you to arrange properly your silverware.
The interior of this model is made from a stainless steel material which is a great solution and inside there are three racks. Actually, there are two main racks Lower rack and Upper rack, and an additional removable Cutlery Rack that is located on top of the upper rack.

The Upper Rack
This is a pretty standard rack and you have enough space for your soup bowls, cups, or glasses. Even this rack is flexible you can lower it down if you need to wash your dirty plates here.
But keep in mind, if you do lower the second rack, you wouldn’t be able to put any size of plates on the bottom rack.
The Third Rack
In most cases, the third rack is a premium feature implemented in dishwashers with a higher price.
It’s surprising that in this model we have a cutlery rack that will simplify washing your silverware. But let’s take a closer look and see what are the advantages and disadvantages of this cutlery rack.
The disadvantages of the third rack for Whirlpool WDT750SAHZ dishwasher
This cutlery rack is very close to the top of the dishwasher, so you are very limited to what you want to place on it.
Actually, many of your silverware and utensils cannot be fitted on this third rack. If you want to wash silverware like spoons, forks, knives, small spatulas or wooden spoons is perfectly fine.
But, if you place a little bit larger items like a regular stirring spoon or spaghetti slotted spoon and you want to push the tray inside to close the door and to start the washing process, the cutlery tray will be stuck. So, on this rack, you can wash only small flat items.
Also, another negative thing about this third rack that owners are complaining about this model is, when you want to wash normal-sized glasses on the second rack, they almost touch the cutlery rack above.
So you need to be careful how you load taller items on the second rack when you want to use the third rack at the same time.
As you can see even on the second rack you are limited to wash your dirty dishes.
The advantages of the third rack for Whirlpool WDT750SAHZ dishwasher
The positive thing about the third rack besides washing a certain size of cutlery is that can be removed.
So if you don’t have silverware for washing or you don’t want to use it at all, just take it out from the dishwasher to free more space for the second rack and you will be able comfortably to load your dishes.
Inside this model of dishwasher also are featured two spray rotary arms.
One of them is at the bottom of the dishwasher below the bottom rack and it uses the whirlpool technology called Total-Coverage Spray Arm with twice more jets for better coverage of your dishes and it uses a smarter sequence of spray patterns to control the nozzles of the spray jets to effectively blast the dishes during the washing cycle.
The second spray arm is located right under the second rack.

What Customers Complain About Whirlpool WDT750SAHZ
Many users complain that the wash cycles of this Whirlpool WDT750SAHZ usually last longer than expected and it often happens that the smaller pieces of food pass through the filter so that after the wash cycle you can often find a stain on the already washed dishes.
